I'm so over it.

Ok, so I have a ton to discuss today!

First off, Friday we went out of town, but stopped by the hospital to see the Panter's and their new baby. Beth looked like she was in her hay-day, Robert was trying to get some sleep and Baby Jordan is so tiny and was bundled up! anyways, they are doing great and are already at home!

So we took off for Dallas after that and it took us forever to get there because the rain was so bad!! It was flooding in Dallas! Once we got to the hotel and changed, we went to the church for the rehearsal, and the power was out because it was raining so hard and the church had leaks! Anyways, I told Jen years from now she would laugh at this, but to be honest, I'm not sure she will, that rain sucked... So that night after the rehearsal, we went over to Hailey's parents house who live in Dallas and just hung out. It was raining so bad none of us wanted to go out. But I enjoyed hanging with her parents a lot more than going out! It was so much fun and here's just a there's pics on facebook on how the night went... ha, I won't lie, things got weird.

After that we went back to the hotel and by then Beau and Jen were in town. By this point it was 2 am, and for at least an hour Jen and I laid on the bed talking about how we wanted to order a pizza before I finally said I was just going to go to bed hungry that night.

So the next morning, we woke up to more rain... and so I went into Dallas to meet Decker and Lacey for lunch! It was so much fun to be in Dallas and Stephanie and I went to hooters and had beer and wings from 10:45 until 2:30. To be honest, i drank so much the night before that I didnt' really want to drink more, but frankly, it was my birthday, so I made it happen. After that I drove back to Plano to get ready for the wedding! So the wedding was great, the reception was even better -- I'm pretty sure I should be on the show Dance your a** off, after the way I danced at the rehearsal. we were all, all over the place! i wish i had a video camera -- haha and the guy kept telling me there was glass ovr the dance floor, but that didn't stop any of us from getting on our knees and dancing -- Ha! there were so many embarassing moment from all of us idiots that night I'm not going into a lot of detail. So while we were all waiting for our cars during the downpour, I decided to announce we would have a party in room 606 at the hotel -- which was our room. Well i guess i thought no one would go, but they sure did. we had about 35 people back in a room the size of my living room. When i got to the hotel, i kept shouting party in room 420, but by that point it was too late. So we got upstairs and it was a party... Oh and remember how i said I danced so much? well i was sweating so much from dancing i decided to take a shower... with all the people there. So I did... and then i got in bed and a bunch of us girls all hung out until about 3 am again! then drew kicked everyone out so we could go to bed. Party Pooper!

So we had this great idea to get up at 7 so we could be home for the football game, but we were so tired, we didn't leave until 9. Ha when we finally woke up, I said I never should have told everyone party in room 606, and Beau was like no joke Paige!!! And it rained on us almost hte whole way home. I mean no wonder people in Seattle committ suicide. If i had to look at rain nonstop like I did this weekend, well I wouldn't kill myself, but I would seriously consider moving. Drew told me Seattle has the highest suicide rate in the US -- and I'm guessing it's thanks to all the rain.

And how bad did the Texans suck yesterday?! i swear... they are so bad, there aren't even words to describe it...

And last rant for today, I did not watch the VMA's because i think the host Russel Brand is a complete idiot so I wouldn't waste my time on him, but I did catch a few moments. OK, so number 1, why did Madonna talk about Michael when she hasn't spoken to him in basically 20 years? Couldn't a closer friend have spoken??? Just a thought.

Kanye West is a huge loser and I am so obsessed with Taylor Swift... and Pink and Beyonce for that matter. What a piece of crap, i seriously hope that whacko loses all his fans. I mean, he shouldn't be allowed to speak on a public platform anyways, there's always problems with him. And last, and I don't even have much to say about this..... WHAT IS WRONG WITH LADY GAGA? I'm beyond talking about her, can someone just explain what she is?!!!! how weird was she last night.

tile's almost done!

Just a reminder = DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS

Please note that Texas is the only state with a legal right to secede from the Union . (Reference the Texas-American Annexation Treaty of 1848.)

We Texans love y’all, but we’ll probably have to take action since B. Hussein Obama won the election. We’ll miss you too.
Here is what can happen:

#1: Barack Hussein Obama becomes President of the United States , Texas immediately secedes from the Union .

#2: George W. Bush will become the President of the Republic of Texas

So what does Texas have to do to survive as a Republic?

1. NASA is just south of Houston , Texas . We will control the space industry.

2. We refine over 85% of the gasoline in the United States .

3. Defense Industry–we have over 65% of it. The term “Don’t mess with Texas ,” will take on a whole new meaning.

4. Oil – we can supply all the oil that the Republic of Texas will need for the next 300 years. Yankee states? Sorry about that.

5. Natural Gas – again we have all we need and it’s too bad about those Northern States. John Kerry will have to figure out a way to keep them warm….

6. Computer Industry – we currently lead the nation in producing computer chips and communications–small companies like Texas Instruments, Dell Computer, EDS, Raytheon, National Semiconductor, Motorola, Intel, AMD, Atmel, Applied Materials, Ball Miconductor, Dallas Semiconductor, Delphi, Nortel, Alcatel, etc, etc. The list goes on and on.

7. Medical Care – We have the largest research centers for cancer research, the best burn centers and the top trauma units in the world, as well as other large health centers. Dallas has some of the best hospitals in the United States

8. We have enough colleges to keep us going: University of Texas , Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Rice, SMU, University of Houston , Baylor, UNT ( University of North Texas ), Texas Women’s University, etc. Ivy grows better in the South anyway.

9. We have a ready supply of workers. We could just open the border when we need some more.

10. We have essential control of the paper industry, plastics, insurance, etc.

11. In case of a foreign invasion, we have the Texas National Guard and the Texas Air National Guard. We don’t have an Army, but since everybody down here has at least six rifles and a pile of ammo, we can raise an Army in 24 hours if we need one. If the situation really gets bad, we can always call the Department of Public Safety and ask them to send over a couple of Texas Rangers.

12. We are totally self-sufficient in beef, poultry, hogs, and several types of grain, fruit and vegetables, and let’s not forget seafood from the Gulf. Also, everybody down here knows how to cook them so that they taste good. Don’t need any food.

This just names a few of the items that will keep the Republic of Texas in good shape. There isn’t a thing out there that we need and don’t have.

Now to the rest of the United States under President Obama:

Since you won’t have the refineries to get gas for your cars, only President Obama will be able to drive around in his big 9 mpg SUV. The rest of the United States will have to walk or ride bikes.

You won’t have any TV as the Space Center in Houston will cut off satellite communications.

You won’t have any natural gas to heat your homes, but since Mr. Obama has predicted global warming, you will not need the gas as long as you survive the 2000 years it will take to get enough heat from Global Warming.

Signed, The People of Texas

P.S. This is not a threatening letter – just a note to give you something to think about!

One Nation Under God

How 'Bout it

OK, so last night instead of watching the presidential speech, Drew and I decided to grout the rest of the tile in the front rooms in our house. We're completely finished with the entry and formal living room, we've just got to finish the formal dining room! Then we'll be halfway finished. It looks soooooo good though! I told him last night to take photos, but he didn't. After that, we just have to install the new baseboards and touch up the paint and it will look amazing! Photos will for sure come later. Also, we bought a flat screen for our bedroom this past weekend and hung it up so that's one more thing off the list!

I'm turning 26 this weekend and I'll be honest, 26 is a little anti-climactic. I guess after the 25 hump the next cool birthday to loo forward to is 27... Ho Hum, another year.

In other news, we're going to Jen and Eric's wedding this weekend in Dallas, so I'm pretty pumped about that. And Beth is supposed to have her baby either today or tomorrow or at the latest by this weekend. Thank goodness, Beth has had a lot of kidney stones, which sound awful and frankly this just needs to be over with.

But getting back to that presidential speech, when i did turn it on, I noticed two things -- a - Obama was wearing a lot of makeup and b- why doesn't he think that if we sign 30 million more people up for insurance we won't have a backlog when we try to get a doctor's appointment? i mean this is a pretty basic question right? so why isn't anyone answering it? and what's the point of working if the government's going to provide healthcare and welfare... i could take a ride on easy street, crap I already pay into it, maybe it's just time to take advantage of it. Then if a hurricane hits, maybe i'll get a government debit card and instead of using it for household items, I'll go buy another big screen tv! ha, seems I've got things figured out, so I'm signing off. Sorry, I'll get better at updating!

Ugh, Finally!

Gosh, sorry for the huge delay! I've just been so busy, which is a good thing! I'm considering making my blog updates weekly now though since it's hard to find time to do it until we get wireless internet at home. I know, I know...

Ok, a few things...

#1 -- the tile is going awesome. We are finished in the front 3 rooms and when Drew returns home this weekend, we're going to grout and they'll be finished! then we'll technically be halfway through the project!

#2 - Baby Presley was born two days ago! She's adorable and baby and mom are doing great! I will say though that Brittany's ankles are not doing great. Yikes, they would pop if you poked them. I hope my ankles never look like that. BUT i have a feeling pregnancy is not going to look so good on me.

#3 -- did anyone hear about the townhall healthcare meeting in California that resulted in someone's finger being bitten off? i bet you didn't. well it happened. Someone pro-healthform bit off someone anti-health reforms pinky off. i think with this sort of behavior we should all just back off the socialized medicine platform... clearly it's dangerous and I can't afford to lose a pinky.

So last weekend we had Brianne's wedding and it was gorgeous and so was she! Other than that, i did some more yard work and we worked on the tile. Nothing new to add to that. I am going to start doing hot yoga again at a new place that doesn't make you stay in there for 1 1/2 hours... thank the Lord! This one only lasts one hour...

This weekend I'm not doing a thing... well let me rephrase. I'm doing hot yoga, going to Laurie's home furnishing becuase they're having a sale and shopping for a flat screen for our bedroom and working in the yard. but that's almost nothing. i don't have to do these things if I don't want.

and how about this HOuston weather!! It's nice...
